Chumstick Canyon Barn

I will be doing a series of barns in the area while they are still standing. This one may not be around after next winter. It has quite a lean to it (not evident from this angle).

River Memories

This is from the Entiate River when the river was real low. The stones were exposed and you could walk out on them. A crystal clear day.

Icicle Ridge

This is the Wenatchee River where it comes out of the Tumwater Canyon with Icicle Ridge in the background.

Julie's Pathway

This is a pathway through the woods near my house. Very pretty with the sunlight coming through the trees.

Show at the Senior Center

This is the show at the Senior Center that was just put in. It will hang for 2 months. Maybe this will get me back to painting again!

I have passed this farm many times on my way to my daughter's house. I finally decided to paint it.

Pumpkin Shopping

It's the season to shop for pumpkins. It was such a beautiful sunny warm day.

Mountain Reflections

This is from the Entiate River.

White Branches

I saw this neat tree beside the Entiate River. When I looked up, silhouetted against a crystal clear deep blue sky were the white branches. If the sky had had clouds, I might not have noticed the branches. 

Nahanum Canyon Barn

A fantastic 100 year old barn in Nahanum Canyon. Came complete with goats which I will be painting at a later date. 

The Bronze Pig

Here is another painting of the bronze pig in front of Country Boys Bar-B-Q. As I was painting this I was dreaming of the wonderful Bar-B-Q that they make.

Display at the Brender Reunion

Here is my display at the Reunion. It came out pretty good and went up fairly fast. I will be putting it up again on Friday.

Green Pasture

This is the last painting for the show that I can do and still get them dry. Now I have to make frames. The stand is almost finished. Got the Banner made and my Flyers printed. I'm almost ready.

Taste of the Harvest

Last weekend I helped man the tent for 2 Rivers Art Gallery. It was a very nice day. Some of my work was hanging in the tent. Ruth was doing Demos on the pottery wheel. Everyone was fascinated with it especially the children.

Low River

In late summer and early fall all the snow has melted and run off leaving the river levels low exposing piles of smooth round river rocks. This is one such area. I was able to walk out almost to the center of the river to get this one. By spring I would be hip deep in water in the same spot. I liked the contrast between the still water in the center that reflects and the still moving water that is disturbed and only reflects the sky.

August Afternoon

This was near the Entiate River which yielded a wealth of painting material. The fishing season must have been over because there was not a soul around. Had the place to myself. Kind of nice but a little creepy for a woman by herself! I need to find a painting buddy!

Stormy Creek Preserve

What a beautiful day it was. This was a jewel to find. No sign on the side of the road. Just roaming through the weeds and found the sign for the preserve and a trail.
